How is Sea Glass Created ?
Sea Glass is created by glass bottles and other items made of glass being thrown into the sea. Over many months and years (most often hundreds of years) as the glass item is tossed around in the sea, the motion of the waves gradually breaks the glass, then scrapes and buffs the surface of it turning it into a lovely natural sea gem.
What colours is Sea Glass found in ?
Sea Glass is found in many different colours the most common colours being Kelly green, brown, and clear through to the uncommon colours of Seafoam Green (which is a soft green), Cobalt Blue, Lavender, Light Aqua and Amber.
Some of the rarer colours include Light Blue, Lime Green, Red, Orange, Yellow, Gray, Teal and Pink. I have actually been lucky enough to find some pieces of these lovely colours in my "treasure" hunts along the shores.

Is the Sea Glass in your Jewellery genuine and do you collect it yourself ?
Yes, To me this is the most exciting part of making the Jewellery, discovering the perfect piece, usually whilst out enjoying a walk on one of the many gorgeous beaches on the Island
Do you alter the Sea Glass ?
I do not alter the Sea Glass in anyway, the only thing I do to the Sea Glass on bringing it home from the beach is give it a thorough cleaning with soap and warm water.
